Hi I'm Emily

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi There, As a little intro to myself, I recently received a Bachelor's degree in English and served a mission for the church on Temple Square in Salt Lake City, UT (you should visit on your family's next ski trip!). Now I'm working at a real estate company, learning a lot and saving up for a Master's degree. Even though I live in Arizona, skiing is a passion of mine. Okay... so I'm no pro or anything, but beating my dad down a black diamond run was a wonderful event in my life. Other than that, some things I love are: travel, spending time with family, reading good books, Les Miserables (and many other Broadway musicals for that matter), watching good movies, and hanging out with friends. Well, enjoy the site and feel free to chat with the missionaries (online or in person!), and your Mormon friends to get your questions answered!

Why I am a Mormon

Knowing that Christ's Gospel has been restored to the earth is something that gives me great comfort. I know that the authority under which this church operates is His and that He loves us enough to send prophets to teach us. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches that families are eternal - that relationships between our loved ones exist beyond the grave. What a blessing to know that I can see those I love again.

How I live my faith

I love to serve in the church through callings - or assignments - that give us opportunities to help one another grow. Every month I get to help organize a group of young adults to go to a retirement home to provide a Sunday service to some of the residents there. I am touched by their testimonies of Jesus Christ and am grateful that I can be a part of their lives.
