Hi I'm Eric

I'm a husband, father, student, and golfer when time permits...and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am happily married to my wonderful wife and am a proud father to our sweet little boy. I am employed as an auditor. I'm halfway through a part-time MBA program. Balancing work/school/family life has been challenging but we are getting it done. I love my wife and love being a father. I enjoy the outdoors, especially mountain biking, golfing, running. When life keeps us in, I enjoy reading and hope to learn piano or guitar in the near future.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church. I was taught about Jesus from my childhood by loving family and friends. However, there came a time when I needed to find out for myself if the Church was true. I did so through study of the Book of Mormon and praying to know if it was true and if Joseph Smith was a prophet of the Lord. I've chosen to belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because my prayers were answered and I know it's true. I've chosen to belong to Christ's Church because I've realized how much my life has been blessed by doing my best to live it's teachings. I know that my Heavenly Father knows me, that Christ suffered for us all, that living Prophets are on the earth today, and that through the authority of the Priesthood my family can be together forever. This brings comfort to me.

How I live my faith

I've had various opportunities to serve in the Church. I've participated in Boy Scouts. I've taught youth Sunday School classes. I've participated in hometeaching activities (where Church members visit other Church members to ensure that there needs are being met and to share a brief, spiritual message). Each opportunity, though at times challenging, has brought many meaningful, learning moments into my life.

What is being a Mormon like?

It's awesome. I enjoy my membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The blessings far outweigh that which some would consider restrictions. My friends (of all faiths) have always respected my decisions and often look out for me. It's been a wonderful blessing in my life. Show more Show less
