Hi I'm Ryan McClellan

I grew up in Washington state. I'm a medical student, husband and daddy-to-be. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a current first year medical student and love to play sports and spend time with my wife. When I am not studying I can be found cooking wonderful desserts, watching sports, playing sports or listening to many types of music. I enjoy spending time with my wife and am looking forward to the birth of my first child. I enjoy musicals and plays and the arts.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my entire life. At first i would go because it was what my family did. As I got older I began to have a love for the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and began to wonder if it was all true. I read the Book of Mormon all the way through for the first time by myself when I was 14 and I prayed to Heavenly Father to know for myself if it was true. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that it is the word of God. I receive so much joy from living the standards and principles found within its pages that I cannot imagine living another way.

How I live my faith

I actively participate every Sunday in all meetings. My responsibility in the church is as a ward missionary meaning I help teach new members of the church a few lessons soon after they join the church. I help teach a Gospel principles class in a rotating fashion with other ward missionaries. I visit 3 families at least once a month to see how they are doing and if there is anything that they need at the time in addition to sharing a gospel oriented message. I also served as a full time missionary a few years ago and dedicated 2 entire years completely to the preaching of the gospel of Christ and helping others feel of the joy found in Him.
