Hi I'm Steven

I was born and raised near Puyallup, WA. My family loves to ballroom dance. I am now pursuing a career in the solar industry.

About Me

I grew up in Seattle, Washington. I'm the oldest of three children. My family is heavily involved in Ballroom.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church but chose to stay because of the values and teachings. The church and the gospel are very focused on improving the individual but has a very different approach. The Lord works from the inside out while everyone else works from the outside in. The rest of the world would take people out of the slums. Christ takes the slums out of people, and then they take themselves out of the slums.

How I live my faith

I find it quite natural to live my faith every day because I believe actions speak louder than words. I believe in following the example of Jesus and developing my personality to be like His. He (Jesus) treated every person kindly regardless of how the rest of society treated them. He showed how to lift others up and encourage them to live better and become more than what they were. Every day I try to find ways to do just that. I offer encouraging words to friends or smile and say hi to someone I don’t know. When I talk with people I try to focus on the good in the world because it is so easy to become obsessed and pessimistic about all the bad. By changing my focus and dwelling on the positive and uplifting things that life becomes better not just for me individually but for those I come in contact with.
