Hi I'm Chuck

I'm a Mormon. I've lived in Arizona most of my life. Most of my working life I have been self employed.

About Me

I will soon be 65 - married 43 years - 4 married children and 14 grandchildren. I have had a Ford/Mercury Dealership and been a real estate broker for 25 years. I am currently renovating a 9 unit apartment complex. I enjoy watching the grandkids perform and play sports. I like to go hunting with my family. I like to help the kids with their "fix up" list when we visit their homes. A favorite of mine is to ride in a jeep through the desert after a rainstorm.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Mormon concept of the Godhead. God the Father and His son Jesus Christ have physical bodies - this makes it easy for me to feel close to them and understand who they are. I love the scriptures - especially the fact that you can read and prayerfully consider the doctrines taught - you can then go to your knees in prayer and get a conformation of the truthfulness of the things that you have read. I especially love The Book of Mormon because for me it seems to be more easily understood than the Bible. I love the Joseph Smith story. I have prayerfully considered the story of his seeing God the Father and His son Jesus Christ and know it to be true. Since the beginning of time there has always been prophets. I am grateful that Heavenly Father has continued allowing prophets to be on the earth. I am grateful for the concept of eternal marriage. Life would not be much if I had to spend the eternities without my family. My family is the most important thing in my life - that is why I get up in the morning. I am thankful for the doctrines of the Mormon faith that allow me an understanding of how important families are. I am grateful for temples and the concept of eternal covenants with our Father in Heaven that if kept will allow us to return to His presence.

How I live my faith

I enjoy working with the youth of the church. I love to be of service and helping those in physical need and seem to be less fortunate. My wife and I have lived in Argentina working with Humanitarian Projects and found great joy in helping people obtain wheelchairs, receive neo-natal training and better vision projects. I try to be available for any service projects that are needed. This makes me feel good to be of help to those that are in need. This is the work of our Savior and it feel good to do it.
