Hi I'm Andrew

I'm an Ultimate Frisbee player, I speak Mandarin, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Student at Utah State University. My Major is Mechanical Engineering and I hope to Minor in Mandarin Chinese. I love all sports, mostly Ultimate Frisbee. My family has a cabin at Bear Lake where we enjoy skiing, knee boarding and 4 wheeling.

Why I am a Mormon

Although my parents and family were all members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, while growing up, I had a hard time believing in a being that I couldn't see. Many times I had thought, what if there wasn't a God and that people were making themselves feel what they called "the Holy Ghost." I had these feelings until I found out for myself that there was a God. My knowledge started first with God. I knelt and asked if he was there and how I could know it. After praying for a few minutes, I had an undeniable feeling of peace and excitement, a feeling in the very center of my heart that I knew God lived, and all of a sudden it made sense that there was a God, this world couldn't create itself by accident. Since that experience I have tested that faith in God by asking more questions and getting answers. I now know that the Bible is true, Jesus Christ lives, the Book of Mormon is a second Testament of Jesus Christ. As sure as I know the sun will rise tomorrow, I know for sure God will answer me whenever I ask him a question.

How I live my faith

I am currently the Ward Mission Leader meaning I spend time visiting those who haven't been to church in a while or those that have never been to our church and help them come closer to Jesus Christ. Because I speak Mandarin, I am also helping people in the community who are from China to learn a little about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I volunteer some of my spare time at local retirement homes and other Church run volunteer centers.
