Hi I'm Elder Brigham Tenney

my name is Brigham Tenney, I am 20 years and I'm in the great country of Japan as a missionary.

About Me

HEY I'M ELDER BRIGHAM TENNEY. I am 20 years old I love being 20 years old. Its a pretty great thing to be alive. I have been to a year of schooling in Arizona. I have studied mostly just basics but I am working towards a engineering degree. I Love computers, just putting my hands on a keyboard gets my heart pumping. I have put both my schooling and love of computers away for two years to serve a volunteer mission, in Japan. And I absolutely love it. The opportunity has given me the chance to research and look into the other side of myself. my spiritual side. my emotions and feeling and most of all building a relationship with the great supreme being who loves. Its an amazing chance to change myself from the inside out by only serving others and teaching other. I love Japan and Japanese. I lived here as a child for 12 years and fell in love with the big city of Tokyo. And now I'm back in southern Japan finally learning the language that was spoken around me for some many years. Japan is the best place ever. I love my family, I love my computers at home, I love my god, and I love Japan. And I am a Mormon missionary.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I want it to be true. I have from childhood always gone to church. but I was never interested in being spiritually minded or focused. Church was simply a place I went to every Sunday that my parents liked. When I was about 16 I was divided between being a person of church or leaving that path and doing what ever I wanted to do. I finally thought about god and what kind of influence he had on my life. I remember one night in particular thinking about something my church teacher and friend had said and just breaking down, realizing that I needed to be a better person and change so I put in more effort to living the things I was learning about. From that experience on I have had many small experiences that have changed my beliefs to be deeper or stronger

How I live my faith

I live my faith as a missionary, that includes spending every single day studying, serving and teaching. We, study the scriptures and other words of prophet and praying, building a knowledge about the great plan of happiness. Then I go out a look for people that would like to learn about god, his plan and his ways. Then I share with them the beliefs that I have and the things that I am learning. I also share my time serving others and focusing my time on other people.
