Hi I'm Kristen

I am a mother of two. I love salsa dancing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

During my senior year in High School, I studied Dental Assisting at a local Community College. After graduating, I worked as a Dental Assistant for 7 years. During that time, many changes happened in my life. I got married and 3 years later was divorced. I was a single working mom, who wanted something more, so I chose to back to school. Shortly after I started up college, I was set up on a blind date, and met the love of my life! He had been visiting Utah while on a summer break from Law School in Washington. We had only one week to spend together before he headed back for his second year of school. We dated long distance for a year and a half, and in that time became best friends. We were married in the temple and now live in Washington as he has opened up his own law firm close to our home. Though my life is not what I mapped out when I was a young girl, and I may not have my college degree until I am 50 years old or so, I am grateful! My life is so much better than I could have ever imagined it could be. We have 2 great boys, who bring constant laughter and joy into our home. I get to spend my time cooking, cleaning up messes, helping with homework, and changing dirty diapers. It is not a glamorous life, but it is an awesome life. I am one happy girl!

Why I am a Mormon

Nothing brings me more happiness than being a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! Knowing that God loves me and knows me personally brings me hope. I know he has a plan for me, and I know he hears and answers my prayers. I have read the Book of Mormon, and I know it to be the word of God, because I have prayed about it, and have felt an undeniable confirmation that it is true. Jesus Christ set a perfect example for us to follow and I know the teachings of the church help me to be more like him. I am grateful to know we have a living Prophet, who leads and guides us today. I have felt the love our Prophet has for God's children when he speaks. I have been blessed as I have listened to the Prophets voice and heeded to his counsel. I am a Mormon because nothing else makes me happier, feel more complete, or brings more peace in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be better today than I was yesterday. Some days I feel like I have failed as a mother, wife, you name it- but the beautiful thing is, is that I know Heavenly Father believes in me! This gives me the faith it takes to be a better person, and keep moving forward.
