Hi I'm Danna

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in the White Mountains of Arizona, yes we have mountains! I am married, have 4 kids and 8 grandkids.

About Me

I am a mom and grandmother first of all. I manage a convenience store. I love to do so many things some of which are, riding ATV's, snow skiing, dancing, camping, traveling, scuba diving in exotic places, flying and someday I want to ski dive. I love to spend time with my husband, children and grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the Mormon faith but I have always been around other faiths. There is so much that I love about the LDS faith I don't know where to begin. I know that I am a daughter of God and that he loves me. I know that Jesus Christ is my brother and Savior and that he took my sins upon himself and died for me so that I could return to live with him and our Heavenly Father some day. The church and its teachings are everything to me. It guides me in how to live my life, how to treat others, how to teach my children/grandchildren right from wrong and to live those principles. It comforts me in times of sorrow because I know why I am here and where I will go when I die. I know if I live these principles that I can have my family with me throughout eternity. It teaches me how to serve and why we should serve. It teaches me to love everyone and to be forgiving and to ask for forgivness. It helps me maintain my moral compass. And the reason I know this is because I have prayed and had these truths testified to me over and over through out my life. I love the gospel!! And I love being a Morman. But most of all, I love my Heavenly Father and his son and my brother Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in many ways but some of them are by holding callings or positions in the church. Some that I have held are being a Sunday school teacher or a teacher of little children. I have been a music leader, President of the Primary which is for children from 18 months to 12 years of age and also a president and teacher of the organization that teaches young women from the age of 12 to 18 years. I play the piano in the adult womens organization. I have spoken in church meetings and shared my testimony there. I try and pray every single day to my Father in Heaven, and I read the scriptures. When my children were young we set aside Monday evenings for just our family and had a lesson about church principles or an activity that was fun but educational. I attend the Temple as often as I can and I visit with ladies from our church once a month to check on them and help where needed.

What is being a Mormon like?

It is joyful, rewarding, comforting, educational and a way of life that brings more meaning and happiness into our lives. It is a plan of action! We all belong to the same family, with the same goals of living a life in accordance with God's plan that if adhered to will help us return as individuals and families to live with him again. I love it and can't imagine my life without it. Show more Show less
