Hi I'm Kyle

I'm a Mormon. And I'm Awesome.

About Me

Well, my name is Kyle. I like to skate, play video games, and pet my cat. I listen to a lot of heavy metal, and my favorite band of all time is Metallica. I guess you could say that I'm just a typical teenage guy.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was very young, I used to go to church with my grandparents, who are members of the Southern Baptist Convention. I don't know where or how it began, but one day I realized that I was an atheist. I thought that the idea of creationism was ridiculous, and that science had all the answers. I have always loved science, and in fact science used to be the cornerstone of my belief system. Skip ahead a few years, and now I'm agnostic. I figured we had to come from somewhere, but there were just too many religions out there to know which one was right. I had never before tried praying about it, and honestly I didn't even care. Then I began talking to a classmate of mine about Mormons (seeing as how he was and still is a Mormon). At first our discussions seemed more like a debate, where he would say something, and then I would tell him why I thought he was wrong. And then one night, as I was laying in bed, the thought struck me, why don't I pray about it? So I did, and the next day I felt as though I should ask him about joining his church, to which he responded by giving me the contact info for some local missionaries. Skip past a few missionary lessons at another friends house, and the missionaries asked me if I would pray about whether or not their church was true, and so later that night I did. Almost immediately after I finished the prayer, I felt that proverbial "burning in my bosom", and from that moment forth, I knew I could never again deny the truthfulness of this great church. I knew in that instant that I had found the truth, and from that moment forth, nothing could ever shake my faith.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church, listening to the promptings of the Holy Ghost, magnifying my callings, keeping myself chaste, being kind to those who are not so kind, preaching the gospel at every opportunity, and living as an example for others to follow.
