Hi I'm Kelly

I am a return missionary. I grew up in the beautiful state of Virginia. I am a student at BYU. I love life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at Brigham Young University and a recently returned missionary. I served in the Utah, Salt Lake City West mission Spanish speaking and I loved it! It is such a blessing to me in my life. I am even more indebted to the Lord for giving me that honor and privilege to be His representative for 18 months of my life. Well, I have an amazing family, I have 3 older sisters and 2 younger brothers. We are all the best of friends and I love them all so much. I also have 3 amazing brother in laws whom I love like my own brothers and I have a beautiful little niece :) I am so blessed to be a part of such a wonderful family. My parents are the best and I have been blessed to have been born in the gospel. They taught me everything I need to know about the gospel and about life, for that I will always be grateful for them. Life is great and I have been blessed with so many dear friends who, no matter how far apart we may be, will always have a special place in my heart. I love playing the piano and I love music in general. I also love sports and my favorites are swimming, tennis, and volleyball! I love just being able to serve people and get to know people's life stories because we all have such unique and special lives that the Lord has given to us. People are amazing and all we have to do is spend time to sit down and listen.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my whole life. But I have gained my own testimony throughout the years. I am so grateful for the testimony that I have because it has gotten me through a lot! I know that this is the one and only true church on the earth today. I know that the Book of Mormon is true with all my heart. Because I have prayed and gotten an answer not because my parents said so. I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of all mankind. He made it possible for all of us to return to our Heavenly Father. I know that Jesus Christ lives and love us. We are never alone!!! I know that Heavenly Father hears our prayers and answers them...in His own time. I know that the Priesthood the authority men have to act in God's name. And I know that it has been restored on the earth today and it has been such a blessing in my life. I know that families can be together forever and I'm so grateful for that. I know that there is life after death. I know I will see lost loved ones again someday! I am so grateful for all the standards that have been given to the youth in For the Strength of Youth. I know that by living those standards I am happier and safer! I know that I am a daughter of God and that we are all brothers and sisters and so we should all be loving and kind to everyone no matter how "different" some may seem. We are all weird in our own ways; that is what makes us unique and what makes life so much fun!

How I live my faith

I am the ward pianist/organist, which has been hard. But with the help of the Lord all things are possible. I am also the Laurel class president and I enjoy working with the youth leaders. I want everyone to know about the gospel because it brings such happiness! I believe in the saying "every member a missionary" with all my heart! I am one of ten members of the church at my high school and it is pretty hard. But it has strengthened my testimony so much to have to stand up for what I believe in. I would not trade this experience for anything in the world. We all have our own trials but they only make us stronger if we rely on the Lord to help us through them.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

You can know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true if you read the Book of Mormon with an open heart and mind. And than do as Moroni instructs to pray for yourself to know if it is true. Heavenly Father WILL answer your prayers! Show more Show less
