Hi I'm Brenda!

I'm a Mormon. I'm a docent at Phoenix Art Museum. In my job, I teach people how to make healthy, easy meals for their family.

About Me

My husband & I have two grown children... a daughter in college & a son serving a mission in the Philippines. My favorite way to be creative is to cook for family & friends. I also have a business teaching people how to make easy, healthy meals & selling chef-quality kitchen tools. For 6 years I've been a volunteer docent at Phoenix Art Museum. I started a Book club on my street which has helped my neighbors get to know each other better.

Why I am a Mormon

As a child I went to a relative's wedding & was bothered by the vows "until death do us part." I worried that if something tragic happened to the bride or groom on their honeymoon, they wouldn't be married any longer. 25 years ago, missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints taught me that marriage can last for eternity if the ceremony takes place in the temple. As I learned more about the church & prayed about what I was learning, I was certain that becoming a member was the right thing for me to do. I've always felt blessed to be part of this church.

How I live my faith

I think the most important thing I can do in life is to treat others with kindness & compassion. Everyday I strive to do this! I teach Sunday School for the 7 & 8 year olds in my congregation & work with the 10 & 11 year old girls on fun activities during the week.
