Hi I'm Taylor

I am a father, a graduate student researching solar energy, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of three young children who keep me constantly on the move. I am also a graduate student in chemical engineering researching solar energy. I believe if we all work on the problems facing this world that we can collectively find solutions that will improve everyone's lives. My family has chickens and a large garden and we love to eat fresh, tasty food. The rest of my time is filled with reading (although there is not always very much of it left.)

Why I am a Mormon

Jesus Christ helps me change and become better each day. There is no other source of power that makes it possible for me to overcome my natural human tendencies. Because of this, I want to learn more about Him and His Gospel. The prophets the Savior has called in this day and the modern revelations we have received through them enable me to know God as fully as possible. I am a Mormon because it is how I have come to know Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Belief that God can give me personal revelation has shaped my life. I try to live my faith by following that revelation in both the small instances of life as well as when life changing decisions come up. After completing my undergraduate education, I was working in a job that provided for my family, but I was unsettled and unhappy. My decision to pursue a doctorate was due to personal revelation as I sought what the Lord would have me do. But even more importantly, I feel God's guidance each day as I do my best to raise my children.
