Hi I'm Scott

I am married and a father of 4 kids. I work for an Orthopedic company. I love to play and watch sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 2nd of 10 children and grew up an Air Force brat. We moved around ALOT and, with having such a large family--we got lots of funny looks. I am now married to a beautiful wife with 4 beautiful and talented children. After moving around a lot as a medical device/pharmaceutical validation consultant; I have finally settled down to work for an orthopedic company as a system administrator and validation analyst in Indiana. We love it here. We love the weather, we love the town and we love the people! We hope to be here for a long time. When I am not doing things with my family or doing things at work or doing things with church; then you can find me one of two places. Either on a basketball court or on my computer working on my internet business. I also have found that I love to play Fantasy Football. I LOVE to learn and there are so many things that I would like to do eventually.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but I have not blindly stayed involved. There was a time in my life that I really wanted to know what the purpose of life was. What was God's plan for ME? I couldn't live my life based solely on what my parents believe. I had always known about Jesus Christ; but I needed to KNOW Jesus Christ. As I turned 19, it was time to make a decision as to whether I would serve a mission. I had just been given an outstanding work opportunity and it made the decision that much harder. I really needed to know for myself whether the Gospel was true. It was through reading the scriptures and praying to know if what I had been taught all my life that I came to know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I knelt down in sincere prayer to know. I didn't have some earth-shattering event happen. I wasn't visited by an Angel. But the Spirit testified to my heart that it was true. Since then I have had many experiences too sacred to share that have let me know that I am truely following what my Savior wants me to do.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a good example of what a follower of Christ should be. I strive to be a good citizen and a hard working employee. I look forward to opportunities given me through church to visit families in the church and to help with their needs. I also love sharing the Gospel with others and continuing to learn and understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Gospel teaches me what I should be doing and what really has value. I was once asked what would happen if I was "wrong" about all of this. What if everything that I believed in was a lie? My answer to this question is that I would have lived a good life. I would have been given guidance on how to live a healthy life, on how to love others and how to serve. I would have been taught to not be selfish and how important family is. I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is very real and that being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is not always easy but IS always worth it.
