Hi I'm Judy

I'm a wife, a mom, a registered nurse, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to be in the great outdoors hiking, bicycling and jogging. I also really enjoy reading, cooking and interior decorating. I currently work part time as a pediatric nurse. I have a great husband who is my best friend and we have 3 children, 2 of whom are in college. As a family we enjoy camping, riding dirt bikes and visiting national parks together.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when I was in my first year of college, thanks to the example of new friends who shared their beliefs with me. I was able to recognize the truthfulness of it because I had been "born of goodly parents" who raised me with Christian beliefs and values. (Nephi in the first verse of the first chapter in the Book of Mormon shared that he was born of goodly parents). The very first LDS activity I attended was a youth dance and as I listened carefully to the opening and closing prayers I realized that they prayed to the same God that I prayed to. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it was true and the Holy Spirit confirmed to my mind and heart that it is indeed true. I had always known that Jesus Christ is our Savior and that he loves us, but after my baptism I found that the gift of the Holy Ghost increased my understanding of the scriptures and helped me draw closer to Him. I knew that I had made the correct decision and that the Church of Jesus Christ is the Lords true Church.

How I live my faith

In my calling at church I serve with the youth, specifically with the young women ages 12-18. I love to share my testimony with them and I am strengthened as I see them live righteously even with their daily challenges. In addition to our Sunday meeting, we also have a worthwhile mid week activity, and once each summer we go to girls camp together and learn more about our Savior's love for us. I live by faith as I follow the inspired words of our living prophets who teach us how our Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ, want us to live. Happiness, peace and untold blessings have been the result of my striving to place my responsibilities of wife and mother as my highest priority. As I make daily prayer and scripture study a priority, I am blessed with daily re-affirmations that the Church of Jesus Christ is the Lord's true Church and I am able to continue drawing closer to Him. I am grateful that He loves each one of His children unconditionally more than we can comprehend and I am grateful that He is patient with us. I love to attend the Temple and I have a firm conviction that temple marriage is a big reason why I am so happy. One of my favorite scriptures is Isaiah 40:31, "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
