Hi I'm Rachel

I´m an artist, a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Before my mission I was studying art. I love paint a lot. I'll finish my degree someday, but for now I'm serving a mission for the The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints in Mesa, Arizona. Leaving on a mission was a hard decision for me but I know it's what my Father in Heaven wants me to be doing right now, and it's pretty fun.

Why I am a Mormon

I love my Heveanly Father and His Son Jesus Christ. I know that we are all childern of God. That He knows each of us by name and that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ we can become clean from our sins. And I know that the Book of Mormon works with the Bible to testify of these things. I remember when I was having the hardest time in my life that the only things that really helped me to feel better were praying and reading in my scriptures. Really I just know that the gospel of Jesus Christ makes me happy, and I want to share that happiness with others.

How I live my faith

Right now I'm serving as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints so, all day everyday is about sharing my faith in Jesus Christ with other people :) Everyday I go out and I teach people about the basic doctrines in our church. I teach them about how Christ's church was restored again on the earth, the plan that our Heavenly Father has for us, the doctrine of Christ, and about God's commandments. I also have the opportunity to serve in small an simple ways like, helping people out with yard work, or just carrying their groceries. The one thing I've really learned on my mission is that faith is all about action. If we believe in Jesus Christ we're going to try a little bit harder every day to be a little bit more like Him; in return every day we're going to feel a little bit brighter, lighter, and happier. I think that in order to really live our faith we need to share it with other people and that doesn't necessarily mean going out and teaching people. We can show our faith through our actions. Always being willing to follow Christ's example and teachings speaks much louder than words.
