Hi I'm John B.

I grew up in Idaho. I like to hike, climb, dive and ride. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and a father of four wonderful children. I live in Idaho, but I have also lived in California, Texas, Virginia and Michigan. My job requires me to travel internationally and I have had the opportunity to meet good people in many countries. I love the outdoors. I like to hike, climb and ski in the mountains. I also like to ride dirt bikes and scuba dive.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon, even though my dad is not a member. Because of the example of a good friend and others, I chose to serve a mission when I was 19. On my mission I gained a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and the plan of salvation. I received a witness that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints contains the fulness of Christ's gospel. There have been times when I have had doubts about what is the truth, but an undeniable belief in God has always led me back to the testimony I received on my mission. I love the teachings of Christ and I am grateful for my knowledge of the plan of salvation. Someday I will be able to return to my Father in Heaven and live with my family forever. That knowledge gives me the faith to overcome any challenge.

How I live my faith

I am an active member of our local congregation. I love to attend church each Sunday where I feel the love and support of the other members and church leaders. It is wonderful to feel the Spirit and to learn about the Savior. It is also a blessing to learn from others how to be a better husband, father, son and person. The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has given me the opportunity to serve others, which has blessed my life and has brought me much happiness. My two oldest children are now serving missions. I miss them very much, but I know that they are doing what our Heavnly Father wants them to do.
