Hi I'm Joseph Gallacher

I am a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I love sharing the gospel! I am colorblind and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the 7th child out of 8. I became an uncle at the age of 10 and I now have 15 nieces and nephews. I use my colorblindness to every advantage that I can:) While in high school, the football team I was on won 2 state championships. My dream is to play college ball someday and then move on to the pros. I can kick a football 60 yards. I also love soccer and basketball. Currently, I am serving a mission in the Puerto Rico, San Juan mission! I love sharing the gospel and helping others come unto Him.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a strong, LDS family, and was given a good moral foundation. I was taught to never lie, cheat, steal, drink, smoke, do drugs, swear, or speak ill of aother person. On the other hand, I was also taught to be honest, kind, loving, service oriented, happy, and obedient. These principles have blessed my life more than I know. I choose to continue to live by them because I find that when I do, I am much happier and my life goes much smoother. The positive influence that my family members and friends have on me is incredible. They help me keep my head on straight and help me remember what is important in life. I know that when we obey our parents and have a positive outlook on life, we will be blessed. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that He gave his life so that I might live again. I am so grateful for His example and I strive to be like Him every day.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to others around me. I always try to stand up for what I know is right. I try to have a happy attitude and be a positive influence. On my football team, there were many instances where one or more of my team members would poke fun at me because I wouldn't join in when they were using foul language or talking about inappropriate subjects. I politely asked them to not talk that way around me, and would leave if they continued to do so. I always tried my best to hold fast to my standards even when it was difficult. In practice, I would try to do my best and never cut corners or go half heartedly because I wanted to be honest with myself and honest to the commitment I made to my coach and my team.
