Hi I'm Sarah

I was raised in Wyoming, moved to Arizona, I work full time, and I am a mother of two wonderful girls. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I went to college at DeVry, graduated with a BS in Computer Information Systems. I decided that was not the place for me, and went back to retail. I work in the cosmetic industry as a Manager and I love it! I met my husband when I was 25 he was a member, I was not, we dated for a year and a half before we got married. Since being married we have 2 beautiful girls, who we love very much, I still work full time, so it can be a challenge juggling my time. I wish there were more hours in the day to spend time with my family, but it is just not possible. My family is not LDS, I am the only one.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had people in and out of my life since I was 20 that were LDS and some tried to convert me, which made me run for the doors, while others became friends with me and answered all my questions. After meeting my husband, I decided I wanted to maybe see what his church was like. I went to sacarment with him for about 8 months before I started going to relief society. Then about 3 months later, I decided to take the lessons, I wanted to first start with my father-in-law teaching me, so the first lesson was on a Monday, and we were all gathered around my husbands grandfather because he was very sick. They gave me the first lesson and then about 20 minutes later his grandfather passed away. After that I decided to take the lessons from the missionaries. We had it all set and I was going to get baptised and then the day before, I woke up with blood everywhere, we went to the dr. and they said I was going to miscarry. It was a set back because it was hard to want to do anything, because I wanted a baby so bad. We decided to get baptised the next day and it has been since October 20th 2007 I have been a member. We were able to set sealed March 28, 2009 with our daughter that was born in December. None of my family on my side is, I am the only one. Do I have challenges, yes, can I stand for what I believe yes!

How I live my faith

I have been able to teach the younger children in the church, which I truely love, I am able to learn things about the church as well as teach them something new. I am also able to visit women in our church and talk to them and get to know them. I have been able to provide meals for our missionaries, and meals for those who are sick.
