Hi I'm Julie

I grew up in Arizona. I'm a teacher. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a Senior in college, student teaching in a 5th grade classroom. I love to teach. I have also enjoyed the chance I've had to work with children (ages 3 to 18) as a self-employed ballet instructor. I love being around kids, particularly with my two nieces and five nephews... they are each bright rays of sunshine and happiness in my life. In my spare time I love music and reading books.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was young I was born into the church and followed what my family’s beliefs were. I never really doubted anything growing up in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. As I've matured I have had the chance to pray for myself, asking if the church was true. I received my answer, and am greatful everyday for the choice I have made to belong to this church. I know within my heart, soul, and spirit that Jesus Christ suffered and died for me because He loves me. I know that God loves all of us no matter how imperfect we are, and that He only wants all of us to return to live with Him someday. I love my Savior and Heavenly Father with all of my heart. I know that I am far from perfect, but everyday I try my best to follow the teachings of the gospel. I know that if we continue to try our best we can go back and live with our families in Heavenly Father's kingdom for all eternity, because Jesus Christ made this possible. This knowledge is what I cling to and find direction from to guide how I live my life each day.

How I live my faith

I have enjoyed working with the youth in the church. I loved playing the piano and teaching the music to the children (ages 4 to 11). Now, I am a visiting teacher, which means that I get to visit two other young adults in my church. I befriend them, encourage them, and remind them that they are loved. I am also a ward missionary, and so I get to go out and help to spread the gospel in my area.
