Hi I'm India.

I live in Texas. I'm assigned to the Brazil São Paulo Interlagos mission. I'm Christian, and a Mormon.

About Me

I go to BYU, and my major is... complicated. I'm changing it to Wildlife Biology when I get back from my mission. I'm excited to serve the people of Brazil, but I'm a little scared to learn Portuguese. I love Pinterest, cookies, scrapbooking and journaling, birds, cats, music, and singing. I have three brothers and two sisters, a mom, dad, dog, cat, and five chickens. My brother has been called to the mission next door to me. I love Texas. I have a boyfriend who just joined the church 9 months ago, and he is working on his mission application as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon, but that's not the only reason I love this church. It's a framework for how to live my life, and it gives me strength. When you're a member of the church, you automatically have friends and people who you can relate to. It's such a happy, inclusive environment, and really boosts your self-confidence and self-esteem. All that we believe makes so much sense to me! I don't just believe because that's what I've been told, I know that all the principles of this religion are true.

How I live my faith

I try to set a good example for others and just be a good person. I try to keep a happy outlook on life so I can make a positive impact on others. Acting happy makes me happy, and also makes others happy. Happiness is a very important thing to be in life, so I figure that being happy is a purely beneficial thing. I talk about my beliefs to those who ask, and try to explain in a tolerant, uncomplicated way. I follow counsel from scripture and the prophet and his apostles.
