Hi I'm Kevin

I'm a farmer from Washington State.

About Me

I grew up on a family farm and began raking and baling hay at a young age. Sports have always been a big part of my life and I played football, basketball, and baseball in High Shool. At age 19, I went on a misson for our church to Cordoba, Argentina where I learned to speak Spanish. Afterwards, I attended Brigham Young University where I graduated in Mechanical Engineering. While I was there, I met and married my wife. Our first son was born while we both went to school and our second son came right after we both graduated. Even though I graduated in engineering, I returned to the farm and have been there ever since. I now have a total of seven sons and one daughter with the eighth son on the way. My wife has taken on the huge task of homeshcooling our children which has been a great experience for us. Our oldest son just went off to college this year at BYU. It is a wonderful experience raising our family and it has kept our life very busy.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormom all my life and come from a few generations of Mormons. I was taught by my parents at a very early age about the gopel of Jesus Christ. We had weekly family nights together where we were taught about Christ, we read from the Bible and Book of Mormon, and participated in family activities. I was put on my present path by loving parents and we attended church every Sunday where I was also taught by caring teachers. I prepared for and anticipated the day I would be able to go out as a missionary to share what I had in my life. Going on a mission was a growing experience for me to see how deeply I really believed the teachings I had learned all my life. To go to a foreign country and to learn to teach in that language was very challenging, but with the help of spirit of the Lord it strengthened my convictions and built upon my own testimony. I now see the blessings of this church in the life of my current family. I see the fruits of living the gospel as my children grow and make choices based on their own testimonies. We have a desire to be a forever family, a blessing that can come by living the gospel as found in the Church of Jesus Christ. I have a deep conviction in my heart of its truthfulness and I am striving to be a better person every day.

How I live my faith

I have had opportunities to live my faith by serving in the church. I have been able to teach young men about the gospel of Jesus Christ at church and to be involved in their lives through activities. We have gone on 50 mile hikes and to scout camps together. I am trying to follow my Savior by giving something of myself to help these youth learn correct principles in life.
