Hi I'm Phil.

I'm a husband to my sweetheart of 35 years a Dad to 6 unbelievable kids, and Gramps of 8 awesome grandkids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Just about everything in my life revolves around my family. All of our kids are grown, and it's been so rewarding to see them stretch and reach and grow. I love being a grandfather! I love spending time with my sweetheart traveling to see our kids, biking, hiking, and enjoying time with friends and family. We've lived in the deep south, and now we're in the great southwest and love exploring new places wherever we are.

Why I am a Mormon

My faith in Jesus Crist is deeply rooted in my upbringing. I remember learning being taught to pray by my Mother. She loved our Savior, and her example as a disciple of Christ created my desire to follow Him. As a result, I gained my testimony of the Gospel of Jesus as a teenager. The Savior's atoning sacrifice for me, for all of us, has given me the ability to endure life's many trials. Just knowing that he sacrificed for me, paying the price for my transgressions, gives me strength every day. Having embraced His restored gospel, we have been blessed as a family knowing that our family is forever. I feel the Savior's influence in my life, and watching His tender mercies bless my family is simply the best thing ever!

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon enables me to be part of a worldwide family. My life has been so enriched by my association with such a diversity of Church members. There are so many opportunities to serve one another, and in service, our love and respect for each other grows so wide and deep. I currently teach a Sunday School class, where I always learn more than my students because they always teach me more! As we raised our kids, I enjoyed working with them and other youth in the Church. The great thing about being a Mormon is that there's always an opportunity to serve, to teach, to grow, to give, and to be blessed!
