Hi I'm Michelle

Im a business owner, life lover, tree hugger, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a broken family. After the divorce it was just me and my mom for most of it. We did everything together, she is so important to me. She taught me the gospel and how to be independent and to search for things on my own. I have search the gospel and thought of it often when I was growing up. Because my mom and I moved around so much we didn't go to church regularly. I was baptized when I was about 12 and fell away from the in my tween years (13-27). Did the less than lovely things trying to "grow up" and "find myself". Finally, years later I found my Mister Wonderful, I wasn't active in the church, he kind of was. We haug out as friends for a while, he was patient with me while I sorted out a few things in my life. Our relationship grew, and we got married! 8 years later, No kids, But we love our animals like they are ours. 3 Dogs, 2 Cats. Our little pet family has shrunk over the years due to age and illness. Ive owned my own retail stores for about 7 years, that was a great chapter in our lifes! My favorite things to do are Go to Parks, Hike- I love to hike! Art, Go Quading, Hang out with my husband, Go on trips, Sew, Go to the beach, Read. Enjoy nature in all its glory, any time!

Why I am a Mormon

My life has been a hard, shaky one. I have been in situations where I thought I was all alone, and really probably should have been. But when all was dark, and I just wanted to quit. He (Christ) was there! I have asked for His help and guidance all my life and He doesn't let me down, regardless of where I am in my life. I am his daughter and he cares for me. This is just one example from a long time ago, I was very sick when I was in 7th grade no one knew what I had, the doctors couldn't help, I was loosing weight, weak, in so much pain, high fever, couldn't eat, and nothing was helping... My mom asked the bishop and a friend to come over and give me a blessing, they did. I was so sick that I don't remember them giving me the blessing or what was said. I just know that the next day my fever, pains and sickness was gone, I was still a little weak, but nothing that food couldn't fix. This kind of thing is hard for people to believe, but its real! The healing powers of the priesthood. I have just finished reading the book of Mormon. While I was reading feelings flooded me, I Know that the stories are True, and if we do our best here on earth we will be rewarded! I know it! The more I read about Christ, the closer I get to Him, the more I understand. I find that doubt, is only the lack of knowledge. So I continue to read, learn, study and pray!..and grow strong. I love Him and all that He is and thankful for all the many blessings He has given me!

How I live my faith

In church my husband and I are in charge of helping with the youth dances, this includes choosing themes, appropriate songs, food, decorations, and the best DJs. This is a large, once a month dance. The church puts on this dance to help the kids from all over the area and community get together, unite, open up the social circle with other kids that have their same values. So no one feels awkward or pressure in any way. When there is an opportunity we will help put together packets for a Disaster community, Our troops, Women's shelters, Missions, or any one else that we we think we can help. We are also, Webelo den leaders in the Boy Scouts of America program. We get to teach the kids about Safety, Support, Community, Disasters, DIY things, CPR... to many things to name! None the less, we are active in the community and in our church whenever given the chance.
