Hi I'm Angela

I am biligual. My husband and I are the proud parents of a beautiful baby with Down Syndrome. I'm a microbiologist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I studied genetics in school and now work as a microbiologist. I enjoy playing the piano, reading and sewing. I speak both English and Spanish and know some ASL. My greatest joy is my small family consisting of my husband and small son. Our son has Down Syndrome. His "disability" is a blessing in our lives as he shows us what true love really is.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS church, but was encouraged by my parents to learn for myself if the gospel was true. I feel the Spirit of the Lord as I read the Book of Mormon, pray and serve in the church. I am grateful for the knowledge that families are eternal and that we can be reunited with loved ones in the eternities.

How I live my faith

I play piano and organ in church services and lead music. I also translate documents between English and Spanish for my congregation and some of our local church leaders.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Angela
My husband and I have been sealed in the temple. It gives me great comfort to know that as long as we live according to the commandments of God, we will have eternity together and with our children. To me eternal marriage and families is just one of the great manifestations of God's love. It makes sense that a God who teaches of marriage, love and family even at the dawn of time with Adam and Eve would want us to enjoy the blessings of family life through eternity. Show more Show less
