Hi I'm Conrad Belshe

I live in Arizona. I love music and play the cello. I like to watch football and play tennis. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 18 years old and a senior in high school. I live with a brother and a sister both with special needs which can be really difficult at times. My brother and sister are both challenged with cerebral palsy among other disabilites including seizures, not being able to walk or talk, or eat orally. Because of my faith I know that we will be able to know the people that they would have become. This idea, through the Plan of Salvation is extremely comforting for me and my family. I live with wonderful parents who are great examples of our gospel values, and I strive to develop their Christlike attributes. I love tennis and have played for 5 years. I was inspired by one the greatest players of the sport, Rafael Nadal in his matchup with Roger Federer in the 2008 Wimbledon Championship. I also love classical music and some of my favorite composers are Tchaikovsky, Holst, and Beethoven. I have played the cello for 7 years and have traveled to Chicago to play in the Midwest International Music Clinic.

Why I am a Mormon

Nothing in this world makes me happier than being in the church. I love the plan that Heavenly Father has for us. It's comforting that I have purpose on this earth that there is life after this earth life where I can meet my brother and sister get to know them better as individuals. Being a mormon as helped me understand Jesus Christ and his teachings, its helped me understand the spirit in my life, and how to be a better individual. The Ten commandments have led me to live a better life choosing not to drink, smoke, do drugs or break any of the other commandments. Being a mormon doesn't mean I think i'm perfect I know I make mistakes but everyday I am trying to be the very best person I can be. Overall the church has given me something nothing else in this world can.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to live the way I am supposed to live. I follow the commandments. I go to church doing the duties I have to fufill. I dont smoke, drink, or develop early relationships. I go on a 2 year mission spreading the word about our faith. I go to mutual every wednesday where my church meets as a youth group and participates in certain activities which may be service projects or team building activites.

What is the priesthood?

Conrad Belshe
The offical definition of priesthood is the authority to act in god's name. There are many callings, or responsiblities, given to male members of the church, that have to be fufilled while "holding" the priesthood. Examples are leading congregations of the church, conducting ordinances of the church like baptism and conformation, and giving blessings to people that are sick. Show more Show less

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Conrad Belshe
On this earth there was a time where there were no apostles or prophets on the earth to lead the church. After the death of Christ and his apostles there was a general falling away and most of the righteous members were killed and the others denied believing in the church. Because of this God took away all priesthood authority off the earth. Then a 14 year old boy went into a grove of trees asking "which of the chuches is true?" Then god told him there was none and he was commanded to restore the church back on the earth. He accepted and the restoration of the church began. Show more Show less
