Hi I'm Spencer

I'm a father, I'm an engineer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 12 years and I have 5 awesome kids. I work as an engineer in a medical device manufacturing company. When not working I enjoy a variety of activities including photography, hiking, and just spending time outdoors. I also enjoy playing with all kinds hobby toys like RC cars, RC airplanes and model rockets.

Why I am a Mormon

I am very grateful for the blessings and direction from God in my life. I have felt very directed at certain points in my life that has led me to where I am now. When I was a teenager I found that if I searched for and followed God's path and followed Christ's example then I would enjoy the companionship of God's Spirit, the Holy Ghost. When preparing for two years of service as a missionary, I desired to have a testimony of the Prophet Joseph Smith and the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. As I studied the words of the Book of Mormon and as I prayed, I received strong impressions testifying of the truthfulness. I continue to have these same feelings today.

How I live my faith

There are many opportunities to serve others that are in need both in the church and in the community. I enjoy meeting and visiting with many people in the ward and I enjoy participating in the community service projects that are planned with the city to improve the surrounding neighborhoods. I have had many opportunities to work with the youth as a teacher and leader and to work with the boy scout program. Every time I participate in these service opportunities I find that it helps me focus less on myself and more on the important things in life. I always gain a renewed desire to better serve the Lord by serving others.
