Hi I'm Jenny

I grew up in Arizona. I'm a mother, homemaker and hairstylist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Cosmetologist. I built my career in specializing in hair and make-up. Even as a child, I had an interest and passion for making anything and everything more beautiful! I directed this passion toward a profession that could make me money, but this passion goes far beyond hair. It's a gift and curse to understand "beauty" in it's every form, and I take great pride and pleasure in it! I am a mother. I love being involved in my kids activities. My kids have made me a way better person than I ever was before!! I love to cook. I am gluten, dairy and soy intolerant, which makes it very difficult to present meals that my family will happily receive. I have learned, and still am learning, how to make this challenge less challenging, by using my creativity, and love for food, to make healthy food taste good! I love people.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, and never questioned what I really believed until I was in High School. I was a little lost for awhile, until a non-member boy challenged me to prove my faith. I wasn't the best example at first, but I came around and showed this boy that I knew the gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I did that by telling him that I wanted an eternal relationship with my husband to be. The only way that could happen is if he fully accepted God and Jesus Christ. I chose God before my own wants. In the long run, after a lot of heart ache, that proved to be the example he was searching for. He joined the church while we were broken up. He was happy without me and in the gospel. God tested me, and I guess I passed because He brought "us" back together and we were later married. I'm a Mormon because I actually searched for the truth, and found out for myself that it's true. I learned that it's the only way I'm truly happy.

How I live my faith

I never say no to a calling! I think it's good for me to try things that take me out of my comfort zone and teach me how to be a better person. Callings do this for me. I'm proud to be entrusted in these important jobs in the church. It's the members willingness to serve that make this church run as efficiently as it does. I'm not always happy doing everything I'm asked to do, and it sometimes seems overwhelming, but prayer helps me so much! I read my scriptures and try to understand what I'm suppose to learn while reading. I hold a "family night" every Monday, in hopes that my family will stay close and build an unbreakable bond. We try to learn something, have a fun activity and dessert together. Simple and effective. I try to be kind to Everyone! I ask for God to bless me with opportunities to serve others somehow. He Always answers that prayer :) I go to church every Sunday, and have built very strong relationships with my Church Family. I try to know Jesus, and copy Him. I never give up, no matter how hard life gets!
