Hi I'm Tanner

New father, full-time firefighter, and a student. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Born and raised in the heat of Arizona, I love to be at the lake with friends and family cooling off and riding a wakeboard. If not there, I find enjoyment in just about anything active. Whether playing basketball, gardening, hiking, swimming, longboarding, etc., my goal is to stay healthy and fit. I married my best friend, Karisa, in the Mesa, Arizona temple. Since starting our lives together we have enjoyed a lot of laughs and smiles, especially those brought on by our new daughter. I work as a full-time firefighter and thoroughly enjoy helping others on a daily basis.

Why I am a Mormon

I was fortunate enough to be brought into this world to a loving family. While my mother was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, my father was not a baptized member at all. With three rowdy boys to attend to my mother did her best to raise my brothers and I in the gospel. Though my father was supportive of my mother's efforts, it was not until I was nearly fifteen that he joined the church and was baptized. This event brought our whole family closer together as we shared in his experience. Roughly a year later, we all joined together as a family in the temple and were sealed to each other. My faith in the gospel and Jesus Christ continued to grow as I prepared and made the decision to serve a mission for the church. I served in the Toronto, Canada area and loved the experiences I was able to have serving the people in that area and teaching the restored gospel. The testimony I have shapes my decisions and actions on a daily basis. I cannot imagine my life without the influence of the church in my life.

How I live my faith

My faith has given me many opportunities to serve within the community and the church. At this moment I serve others as an elders quorom president. I enjoy helping others in anyway possible and always look forward to opportunities to lend a hand.
