Hi I'm Alex

I grew up all over the United States. I love my home and family in New England. I am a recent convert. And I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love to fly, ski, and snowboard! Anything that gets the adrenaline going is my kind of lifestyle. Absolutely love my dad and my family. I'm a rather recent convert to the church. About 2 years. I want to study english at BYU and later use that to go to Law school. Currently serving a mission in Medellin Colombia. I simply love people, and the opportunity I get to serve them and teach them for two years about the gospel. =)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because when I prayed to know if this church is true, the answer was a resounding yes! There is no doubt in my mind that this is the true church of Jesus Christ restored in these latter days. So much peace and security comes with the knowledge that I can live with my family forever. When I get married someday, that beautiful young lady and I will be sealed for time and all eternity, as will our children. This is the plan of our loving Heavenly Father, and I know it to be true. I've prayed, I've fasted, and now I believe. My life is simply better and more complete, knowing that my God has a great plan in store for me.

How I live my faith

I strive to set an example for others, not just on sunday, but every day of the week. That is what really drew me into being a Latter Day Saints was that we are genuinely caring people. We do indeed love to live our faith. At the end of the day, my question is always who did I help today.

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

Alex
Many sects believe Mormonism to be a cult simply because they have not taken the time to examine our values and principles. Is it a culture? Isn't the Christian life a demonstration of the culture that we all hold dear? We promote strong values of faith and family; if that is seen as a cult, then I shiver to see what isn't. I invite all people to investigate the Church a bit more, and come to know that glorious and simple truths that come from this wonderful restored Gospel. Show more Show less
