Hi I'm Meagan

I'm serving a mission, passionate about God, and I enjoy making people smile. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 22 and striving to earn my BA in English through BYU-Idaho. I'm almost done, but I have decided that now is a good time for me to serve a LDS Mission. I have been called to the work and assigned to labor in the Texas Houston Mission. I report to the MTC 11/15/17, and I am so ever grateful for this opportunity I have to serve others and invite them to hear and learn more about the Gospel of Christ. I LOVE to read and feel like my heart gets torn apart when people disrespect books. I love stories, when I was little I coerced my parents into telling me stories or reading them to me. I'm a HUGE Harry Potter Fan/Nerd. I love to quote people/books/shows/movies/anything, it's fun and helps others to think I'm wise. Mwahaha! My friends think I'm crazy, but they love me and I love them. I am the oldest of four, with two younger brothers and a sister. I LOVE music, I may be musically challenged (can't sing well at all or really play an instrument) but I don't think I could live without it. I like learning about the way the human mind works and why people do the things they do. I'm also planning on writing a book and hope to get it published sometime in this life time.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church, and have never regretted it. I love my family, and the gospel of Jesus Christ. My seminary teacher once said this phrase: "We fall to our knees, so while we're down there pray to Heavenly Father to help us." I can't express with written or spoken English how much I agree to this, and how much it has and will help me. I'm a Mormon because I CHOOSE to be one, no one forced me or manipulated me to be one. Having the Everlasting Gospel in my life helps me to understand my purpose in life, Who I am, and Where I come from, and Where I will be going after I'm dead. It also grants me a happiness and peace I could never feel through material things. I'm a Mormon because it encourages me to be better than I was yesterday.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading ALL of the scriptures, not just the Book of Mormon. I watch General Conference, and try my best to follow the Prophets teachings and warnings. I strive to be like my Savior, Jesus Christ. I try to do the little things like holding an umbrella over a classmate who is in a wheelchair when its pouring rain, saying please and thank you to anyone and everyone who helps me, smile at someone who looks sad, befriending the kid who is left out. Those things bring me happiness and warmth to my heart. I don't drink (underage here!!!) or swear, or take the Lord's name in vain. The smell of coffee sickens me, so no temptation there. I go to three hours of church every Sunday, and go to Seminary every day. I love my family and pray to my Father in Heaven that I will be able to love EVERYONE like He does. I'm not perfect, and I do make mistakes, I'm human, how could I not? God knows and understands this, that's why through Jesus made it possible for us to repent and begin anew. Jesus has done so much for me, the only thing I could do to repay him is to follow His example, commandments and teachings. That is how I live my Faith.
