Hi I'm Jared Weller

I am a sophomore at Snohomish High School. I have 3 siblings, I love to play tennis, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am fifteen years old, one of four children. I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my whole life, and have loved every minute of it. I enjoy playing tennis, playing the piano, singing, and reading. I want to go to Brigham Young University and become a mechanical engineer.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. At fifteen years old, i continue to live the gospel because i love it. It is comforting to know that i can have my sins forgiven through the Savior's atonement, and return to live with my Father in Heaven. I know this to be true through countless revelations from the Holy Ghost. Also, i have enjoyed several testimony-building activities such as seminary, EFY (Especially For Youth), a pioneer trek to honor our ancestors, and several activities with other LDS youth. I know the Book of Mormon to be the word of God, and another testament of Jesus Christ, again, because of impressions from the Holy Ghost. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, and that he really restored Christ's church to the Earth. I know that Thomas S. Monson is God's prophet today. I enjoy knowing that my family has been sealed together in the temple, and that we will be together forever. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I start my weekdays by going to seminary, where i learn more about the Gospel and read the scriptures, before going to school. I make sure to always live by the church's moral standards, which include not swearing or participating in immoral activities, especially in the company of nonmembers. On Sundays, i go to church, where it is my duty to prepare the sacrament, which we take in remembrance of the Savior's atonement. Following Sacrament Meeting, i go to my Sunday School and Priesthood classes. On Wednesdays, i participate in activities with other youth. Living the Gospel this way brings happiness to my life.
