Hi I'm Matt Serafine

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 3rd year medical student at Midwestern University. I have a wife, Stacy, and a 10 month old boy, Graham. I enjoy both playing and watching sports. I graduated college and came down to Arizona 2 years ago and bought our first house. It required a good amount of work to make it livable. I learned to tile, paint, and dig tree holes. It turned out great and was well worth the trouble. I am uncertain about my future in the medical field and will hopefully make my decision soon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I learned from a young age that families are important as well as a testimony in Christ. As a member of the LDS church I was taught about the life of Christ, serving others, and the importance of prayer. All of this has helped me to be who I am today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving other member, neighbors, and friends. I believe it is important that others see that mormons are nice, normal people who believe in Christ and are true to what they believe. With so much wrong in the world, others need to know that not everyone is like that and that mormons have high standards and live them.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Matt Serafine
I believe a good amount of the world is looking for guidance and truth and stability. I have seen it many times where people think that they are "having a good time" and "living it up" by living immoral lives. Later on they often learn the hard way that there is much more out there for them. The church offers truth and light to all those that seek it. President Hinckley always said "bring all your good and we will add to it." I believe if people listen to church members and missionaries and are willing to change their lives, they will be surprised at how much more God will bless them. Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Matt Serafine
Many people dont understand the importance of Prophets. Prophets in the olden days were called of God and led the people. It is no different today. The Prophets and Apostles are called of God and lead and guide his people. The LDS church is the only church that I know that even claims to have Apostles and Prophets. They truly receive inspiration from God and anyone that pays attention to them will know that they are called of God. Show more Show less
