Hi I'm Emily

I'm a Mormon mama of 7 kids.

About Me

Some days I feel like I am a taxi driver for my seven kids. I have kids ranging from a freshman in high schooler to a soft and snuggly six month old newborn. On any given day, you can find us driving to soccer, swimming, archery, piano, voice and other activities. We love spending time as a family camping, having crazy dance parties in our front room, reading aloud books and going on outings together. I love scrapbooking my kids' lives, eating vast amount of dark chocolate, exercising, reading all genres of books, and hanging out with my six sisters who live in the same area I do. My husband and I have been friends for twenty-two years and married for fifteen. Although life can get chaotic sometimes, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have a testimony that this is the restored church of Jesus Christ. I believe in the teachings of the current prophet Thomas Monson as well as the prophets of the church before him. I love the Bible and the Book of Mormon and we read both as a family. I love the emphasis the church puts on families. I know that Jesus Christ is my personal Savior. He died and suffered to provide a way for us to return to be with Him someday. I am forever grateful to Him for his sacrifice.

How I live my faith

I teach the young women ages 14-15 in our area. I love the enthusiasm that they have. I try to teach each girl how important they are and how they need to be strong and good individuals as they are the future generation that will lead the world. In the last few years my girls and I have been involved in collecting clothing from nearby neighborhoods for foster kids. The other project my girls and I have participated in is making dresses for girls in 3rd world countries. Both of my boys are involved in the Scout program which I love because it makes them better citizens in the community and stronger individuals. My older two girls both earned awards in church this year for each giving 40 hours of service. We try to teach our children the importance of serving other people and being good Christians.
