Hi I'm Rachel

I grew up in Arizona. I like singing and music, history, and fast cars. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My favorite part of life is hanging out with my husband. We like taking long walks and hiking in different places. One of our most memorable hikes was on Catalina Island off the coast of Southern California. We like watching the show Top Gear (UK) and recently discovered the show Pawn Stars. We both have Bachelor's degrees and work in the financial services industry. I actively read about politics and current events. Aside from visiting many states, I have been to Canada, England, France, Switzerland, Italy, and Mexico. I loved Switzerland so much and really want to go back.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the richest blessings of life I have ever experienced are only when I am true to the commandments and follow the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have a personal testimony that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. I believe He lived and was resurrected. I know He is the way, and the light and life of the world. We can come to know His true gospel and love for us as we exercise faith and follow and believe in Him. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints contains the fulness of the gospel and through this I can experience true joy.

How I live my faith

Currently I am the Young Women's president in my ward. I am so grateful for this calling. There are challenges in this work but so many great blessings. I have learned so much and grown closer to the Lord through service. Service in the church is amazing. When we serve others and devote our time and talents to the Lord our needs are met more powerfully than when we just focus on ourselves. I am so impressed by the strength of the youth when I see them make righteous choices and learn to love the gospel. I am humbled I get to be part of their lives in this way and humbled I would be chosen to do this calling. Whatever my weaknesses or shortcomings may be, the Lord directs the Young Women organization as He directs the Church and sits at the head of it. Sometimes my prayers are answered before I even finish asking the questions. The Lord loves his children. For reasons we may not understand He calls ordinary people to work through. I am grateful to Him for this. My faith and love for my fellowmen has been strengthened so greatly as I am obedient to the commandments and strive to do my calling.
