Hi I'm Michelle

I skipped my senior year of high school to serve a mission with my parents. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah with the amazing mountains. I've devoted a lot of time to playing tennis and singing, two of my favorite hobbies. I'm an average teenager that loves spending time with friends and family. I like watching movies (especially sci-fi and period dramas aka Pride and Prejudice). My dad was called as a Mission President, so I skipped my senior year of high school to serve a mission with my parents. I absolutely love the missionary work and the gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

Originally I was a Mormon because my that's what my parents raised me as, but that's not my reason anymore. Now I'm a Mormon because I love the principles and values it teaches. There are six main things I love that are the basis of my testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel. First, the Gospel teaches us about how we can be with our families forever if we live righteously on earth. I love my family so much and can't imagine being without them, and this principle of the Gospel brings so much comfort to me. Second, we have the ability to receive personal revelation from our Father in Heaven just by kneeling down and praying with a sincere heart. I know that our prayers are always answered. Third, we have been blessed with the fullness of the Gospel, meaning we have Prophets and Apostles on the earth today who guide us and receive modern revelation. Receiving revelation did not die with the ancient Prophets of the Bible, it still exists today! Fourth, when you are baptized as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, you also receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands by worthy Priesthood holders. This means you have the Holy Ghost with you at all times as a guide and comforter. I've been thankful for this so many times in my life because it's helped me in so many ways. Fifth, we have the blessing of The Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Christ in our lives. This book is so simple and true. It has comforted me and led me through hard times. Sixth, we believe in Christ's Atonement for our sins, meaning even though we make mistakes through repentance we can live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again because He atoned for our sins. That means everything to me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to live the Gospel principles to the fullest. I don't swear, I dress modestly, I attend church every Sunday, I try to read my scriptures everyday. By doing these basic things, I feel closer to Christ.
