Hi I'm Mason Sanders

I'm an Arizona native. I love sports. I want to be a mechanical engineer. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a freshman at ASU right now in mechanical engineering. I have wanted to be an engineer since I was a freshman in high school. I also love playing any sport. I did shot put and discus in high school. I enjoy baseball or softball, racquetball, basketball, football, golf, and any other game you can think of. I am very competitive and sports give me the opportunity to compete with others. The thing I have learned from sports is that you're not going to win every game. I have been able to look at a loss and try to figure out why I lost and get better at that area. School is the same way for me. I always want to do my best. When I don't do good on a test I try to see why I got the score I did and continue what I'm doing, or realize that I need to change what I'm doing to be my best. I love my family. I have three older sisters and I am the youngest and only boy. When I tell people that they feel sorry for me and say something like, "oh don't you wish you had a brother" or "that's got to be hard living in a house full of girls." I just tell them I wouldn't cange it for the world. Growing up with sisters has taught me a lot. I know how to treat with the proper respect the deserve. And I know I was meant to be with my family, we have been so blessed to get along so well.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because I know this church is true. I can not inagine my life without it. I am so grateful that I was born in the church because I was taught at a young age to know the truth. When I was young I leaned on the faith of my parents, but they also tought me that I have to know for myself. I have read the Book of Mormon and the bible, and it just makes sense. I have felt the Holy Ghost testify to me that these things are true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every Sunday. You can learn something new every week, it's amazing. I love service. I know that when you are doing something kind for someone else you will benefit from it as much as they do if you have a positive attitude about it. The feeling that comes from serving others is so heart warming and makes you feel good inside. I really enjoy it. I also have the opportunity to serve a mission. I will be going to Guadalajara, Mexico to teach the gosple in the Spanish language. This will give my the chance to serve others for two years, and I can't wait to go.
