Hi I'm Shannon

I'm a Mormon. I am from Arizona and I was blessed to start my life on a ranch.

About Me

First off let me say that I am in no way, even close or ever going to be a good enough example as a member of this church. Since my life began I have insisted on learning things the long and painful way. I lived through a very abusive childhood and some of my adult life I let it continue. I am a very greatful and undeserving mother of four amazing children. I love to sing and teach and help others anyway I can. However I am in my opinion quite unobservant so sometimes I have to be asked for help before I realize it was needed. So I guess first I am a daughter of my heavenly father. I am a mother. I am a wife and when I am lucky I get to be someones friend.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. I married in the temple and then years later was legally divorced. I have done more wrong than good but no matter how far off the path I have gotten several times...there was always one thing I knew I could trust. I knew that I could trust in the lord, church and the priesthood. I am and always will be striving to be better because I can tell anyone who wants to hear it "It is real. All of it. I have seen it work in not only my life but others as well". There are some things people believe in or have faith in and that is always a good and important things. There are also some things that you just know. I know that my heavenly father hears me and has carried me many times. If you knew me then you would know that if he would do that for me then he obviously will do it for anyone. You only have to ask. I love the LDS church. I love it for many reasons but to put it simply...It can only improve your life. There is nothing wrong that will ever come from or be caused by choosing to live the gospel.

How I live my faith

I have many well most of my friends are not members. I can only live by example and it seems to work. I do not push my beliefs on anyone but if you ask then I will share.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

No. That would be quite hypocritical. We believe that serving others is essential in persuit of our own happiness. This past year my husband lost his father. Neither of them being Mormon at the time. The church helped and blessed us more than we could have ever imagined. Offering help and comfort and continue even still. Show more Show less
