Hi I'm Natasha

I love people, and the great outdoors. I am a wife, mother, teacher, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

My greatest joy includes my family. I love my husband, and our 3children we are currently raising. We stay busy attending and carpooling our teenage and pre-teen kids to their many athletic and extra curricular activities. We are an active family, and usually on the go! We love living in Colorado, close to the Rocky Mountains. Our family's favorite past times include hiking together in the summer, and skiing together in the winter. The most enjoyable and relaxing way for me to spend time includes playing outdoors, whatever the activity may be. I enjoy participating in an annual triathlon to cap off the end of each summer. Recently, I returned to school to complete my degree, and earn a teaching certificate in Elementary Education and ESL (teaching English as a second language). I am currently finishing my student teaching in a 5th grade classroom, and will miss the students tremendously when I graduate at the end of this semester. I love seeing the look in my students eyes when I teach a concept and can tell they 'get it'! I am a people person, and find great satisfaction in helping others learn and grow in order to reach their fullest potential. In the future, I plan to be a substitute teacher, and eventually have my own classroom of students when the timing is right for our family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my entire life, but realize more and more everyday that living the teachings and gospel of Jesus Christ is the simplest and happiest way to live! This provides great comfort to me as I consider the difficult world we live in. As I've had different circumstances and challenges in my life, I realize that our Heavenly Father knows and loves each one of us as individuals. He is real, and can be a part of our lives if we take the time to develop a relationship with Him. He has provided a way for each of us to return to live with Him again through the Atonement of his son, Jesus Christ. Through applying the Atonement in our own lives, and striving to follow Christ's teaching, we may return to live with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again. Our Heavenly Father has provided a living prophet, and other local church leaders to help guide us. We also are blessed to be able to study the word of God through scriptures which include the Holy Bible and Book of Mormon. Lastly, each of us can receive our own personal revelation through direct, sincere prayer and communication with our Heavenly Father. With the announcement of a future LDS temple in Fort Collins, Colorado, I am thrilled to live within close proximity of this unique building. I look forward to the opportunity this brings in sharing my feelings with others about how families can be sealed together forever.

How I live my faith

Service had always been a great and important aspect of my life. When we are engaged in service to others, not only do our deeds assist them, but we put our own problems in a fresher perspective. When we concern ourselves more with others, there is less time to be concerned with ourselves. In the midst of serving others, there is a promise from Jesus in the New Testament, that by losing ourselves, we find ourselves (Matthew 16:24-25). Not only do we 'find' ourselves in terms of acknowledging His guidance in our lives, but the more we serve others in appropriate ways, the more substance there is to our own soul. I love looking for different ways to serve others by being involved in our community. Whether it is by participating and serving on different school committees to help support the many teachers, staff members, students, and parents in our community, or serving as a leader in my church by planning and organizing activities for others, I find true happiness when I reach out to others in small but significant ways. Not only do these small acts of service benefit others, but it helps to lighten my own load, and brings a smile to my face!
