Hi I'm David

Im an insurance manager and father of 4 children and Im a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Im a Mormon

About Me

I am a customer service manager for a world class insurance organization, top of the industry. I love mountain biking, running, hiking, camping, and basketball. I am an eagle scout and actively participate in the scouting program with boy scouts of america. I am a father of six children and enjoy every minute of the chaos and the love and joy that comes along with the crazy household. I love going to the movies, spending time swimming and playing with the family, and especially dating my wife of 19 years. We have a special needs daughter who creates challenges and joys for us on an hourly basis. I have five brothers and sisters myself and we spend a lot of time with the cousins and extended fam.

Why I am a Mormon

Born and raised in the LDS church, however, as a teenager I came to a point where I needed to know for myself if everything id been raised learning about was true. I found my answer on a tuesday morning while sitting in my little yellow Volkswagen Rabbit outside of work on my lunch break. I had been reading the bible (king james version) and the book of mormon each day during lunch in my car. I had prayed to know if what I was readhing was the truth. As I continued to read I was overcome with the most amazing feeling of warmth and love. The feeling I had was so strong and so powerful that I then knew it was my answer from a loving father in heaven. I was then filled with grattitude for answering my prayers. Of all the churches Ive visited and learned about, this is by far the most Christ centered of any. I know it is His church. The people are not perfect, but the organization and the authority to perform necessary ordinances (baptism) is. I love that my church does not speak poorly of other religions or faiths. I see the affect the church has on my children and I wouldnt trade it for anything.

How I live my faith

I currently lead the 11 year old boy scout patrol, along with another scout leader. We hold weekly classes with the boys to learn new skills, and the ins and outs of scouts so they are prepared to join the older scout troop at age 12. I have a special needs daughter (Tetrasomy 18p) and am actively engaged with her development at school, therapy etc. When I have the time I support our local choir, singing as a tenor and involving my kiddos in the choir as much as possible. I live my faith each day by starting out each morning with personal prayer, reading scriptures with my family, working hard to provide for them by making the most of my career, finding ways to serve others throughout the day if possible, and returning home to support the growth and development of my family.
