Hi I'm Sheri

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, a daughter, and mother of three boys. I am a former high school teacher. I enjoy scrapbooking, reading, playing with my kids and traveling with my husband. I'm also involved with my boy's Cub Scout pack. When I can find the time also enjoy researching my family's genealogy.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was 19. Friends invited me to attend youth activities and I learned of the gospel and gradually gained a testimony. After about a year I met with the missionaries. It seemed that what they said I had always known. I pondered the things they had taught me, and almost a year later I was baptized. I felt so much joy. Since that time I have experienced the ups and downs of life. The teachings of Christ have given me the anchor and strength to continue on.

How I live my faith

Currently I teach a class to the Relief Society, the women's organization of the Church. I really enjoy this. It is my opportunity to study the words of the prophets and use them in my lessons to the sisters. I always feel the love of my Heavenly Father. In my family my husband and I try to apply gospel truths to the way we raise our kids. We read the scriptures as a family, attend church, and do our best to live the commandments of the Lord. I also try to serve my neighbors by volunteering at school. I also choose to be happy. Life is often difficult, but through prayer, faith, and perserverance I know that I can get through the trials that come. After all, Jesus tells us that all things work together for our good.
