Hi I'm Larry

Hi, I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Wyoming. I was raised in a part member family with one sister.

About Me

I am a Husband, Father and Grandfather. I am a second generation Mormon, My mother was a convert as a young child. I graduated from college and work as a sales manager. My hobbies tend to include my family. I enjoy that rare alone time with my wife hiking or just long walks We enjoy time with our children and their families. We love to spend time outdoors playing with our grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

So why am I a Mormon? Although I was baptized at eight I was not truly converted until I was 18 years old. I went through the motions as a youth to appease my Mother, but I didn't have a true testimony. At the age of 18 a nonmember friend made a very negative comment about the church. It hurt and offend me but unfortunately I lacked the knowledge to defend the church. I made the decision that I needed to find out if it was true, I couldn't continue with only one foot in the door. I returned to regular church attendance and began studying the Book of Mormon and other church doctrine including the Bible. In the process my testimony blossomed and I realized the strength that the gospel was for me and how it had truly shaped my life. Even though I had stepped away from the church for a few years I could see that the Lord had not left me. He or one of his servants had been there for me when ever I had my struggles. Through the years I have had my challenges and struggles as we all do, but with my testimony and the strength of the gospel I have found great joy in my life.

How I live my faith

Religion is very important to my wife and myself. Our lives revolve around our family and the Church. As a young adult I was given a blessing that stated that my calling in life was to work with the youth of the church. In the last 35 years I have held many position in the church and most have been in leadership positions working with the youth. What Joy I have felt to see the great strength and faith of these young people. Our Heavenly father knows each of us personally. He knows us better than we know ourselves, and if we have a relationship with him we can find out what he desires of each of us. His desire for each of us is to find him and with that knowledge we will find great happiness in our lives. My life has not been perfect, I haven't been perfect, but my Heavenly Father has always been there for me to hold me up through times and stand with me in the good times. I know that the Gospel has made me a better person, a better Husband, Father and Grandfather. The gospel teaches moral truths, honesty and patriotism. This has made me a better employee, American and citizen of the world.
