Hi I'm Marvin Tedjamulia

Yes, I'm a Mormon. I was borned in Indonesia, but I grew up in Sao Paulo, Brazil. When I was 18, I moved to USA.

About Me

I am a father of 5 and a grandfather of soon to be 12 grandkids. I enjoy photography, science, computers and above all, spending time with my lovely wife and my family. I was born in Indonesia, but I grew up in Sao Paulo, Brazil. When I finished high school, I went to the US and got my degrees in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. After receiving my Ph.D. in Heterocyclic Chemistry, and a post-doc in Oak Ridge National Lab, I worked for Dow Chemical for 10 years. For the past 26 years I have owned my own computer company called Martech, located in Johns Creek, Georgia.

Why I am a Mormon

We are not alone in this world. Deep in our hearts, there is a small voice that tells us that we are sons and daughers of God. He lives. He is our God that loves us dearly. We indeed have the influence of the Holy Ghost to inspire and direct our path. As a scientist, an engineer, a father and a grandfather, it is a humbling experience to know that we are nobody without HIM. He lives, he loves us and we are on earth just as a temporary time to be tested so one day, we can come back to his presence. I know that we can overcome any hardships and problems that the world gives to us. God has put us here on the Earth so we can grow and succeed. I love the scripture in I Corinthians 10:13 telling us that we will not be tempted above what we can withstand. I know that God has made us victorious. We can accomplish anything that we want on this Earth. Therefore, lift up your head, be of a good cheer, and PRAY! I know that God will help us succeed. We cannot do it alone.

How I live my faith

It is written that no impure thing can enter the kingdom of God. I try my best to keep myself pure and to do everything I can to be 0n the narrow path. When we obey his commandments and do our very best to follow Jesus Christ's example, we are blessed with his spirit. That spirit will illuminate my mind to do more rightesous things. We have a secret weapon against Satan. Our adversary wants to destroy us. This secret weapon is Personal Prayer. As we concentrate on God and Pray, we will be given extra-ordinary powers to withstand temptation, and we will be able to conquer our weaknesses and our passions. There is an old saying that tells us that if men were fish, the last thing that we would discover is water. By the same token, we are sons and daughthers of God. Lets discover this big secret that as sons and dauthers of God, we can receive his blessings and powers thru our prayers. Yes, we will overcome our temptations and receive inspirations and revelations to guide us so we can win! Life is beautiful as we see it with a Godly perspective. We will be happier as we serve others. God wants us not to be just receivers of blessings. But he has call us to serve others, be examples and to be Christlike people. Be Happy - Serve Others :) !

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Marvin Tedjamulia
I love my family dearly. In the temples of the Lord, our family can be sealed together for this life and all eternity. It is so wonderful to know that life will continue after this Earthly ministry. My sweet wife and I can be husband and wife after this life. Temples are sacrate edefices that we can go to make covenants and promises to God. We can promise to God to obey his commandments and to do our very best to serve him in all of our capacity. In the holy temples, we can do the work for those that have pass beyond this mortal life and do the work like baptism for them. I love going to the temple. One can really feel the spirit of God in there. It is a sacrate place. It is a special place where my wife and I can go to help us to come closer to God and to help others who has pass away.
