Hi I'm Bonnie!

I grew up in Arizona and love learing about history and different cultures of the world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a native to AZ and my family comes from upstate NY so that is home too. I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis on behavior which explains my love of people. I have worked for Apollo as a Military Enrollment Advisor for seven years, I have a great job. Currently I am working on a Masters degree in Education. I am firm advocate of learning, and I believe we should take every opportunity to better ourselves. One of my most favorite pass times is traveling and better understanding people’s culture and heritage. History is my greatest passion, I get lost in stories of battles, kingdoms, government and our pasts. We are all inextricably linked and we should honor that! I was raised not just by an amazing single mother, but by a fun loving proud and boisterous family! I am the third of four kids and the proudest aunt you will ever meet! I have four nieces and two nephews they are amazing and I adore them! Watching these wonderful spirits grow into young adulthood is a blessing I will never be able to articulate! I love wondering in museums, watching plays, playing basketball, reading, writing, directing plays, cooking, singing at the top of my lungs and dancing around the house. My most cherished activity is communicating with my loved ones, friends and new acquaintances!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to a goodly family, although they were not members of the LDS church they taught me of strength, service and love. It was because of their grand examples the power of the restoration resonated through to my heart and led me to the full gospel. I am Mormon because I knew it was true. On the day of my baptism the words of Joseph Smith were not unlike my own feelings, "I knew it, and I knew that God knew it, and I could not deny it." I am a Ladder Day Saint because the gospel is undeniable, I know that God loves His children and I know He wishes to guide us today through scriptures, Prophets of old and of new. He does this for our safe return Home.

How I live my faith

I love to talk about the church with people. In any callings I've served in I always explain what my job is, why I enjoy it and what it consists of. Right now I am the Choir Director for my congregation. I am way out of my comfort zone, but singing and hearing delightful music is the closest thing we have to perfection on Earth. I grow each time we sing. I was able to serve a full time mission for the church in beautiful British Columbia, I often tell stories about my 18 months of service and my gratitude for that precious time. I live my faith by serving my family. I am unfortunately still the only member in my family so it is through service and love that I live my faith!
