Hi I'm Chase

I'm a law student, husband and soon-to-be dad. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently in my second year of law school in Arizona. I enjoy the study of law and look forward to practicing it. I'm an avid soccer player and am part of an indoor team that plays every Saturday. I passionately support Arsenal in the English Premier League. I'm also a big baseball and lacrosse fan. If I'm not studying, I'm usually playing some kind of sport either with my wife or my family and friends. I recently found out that I will be a dad in the coming months. We are very excited for such a great responsibility and I look forward to having a little friend to watch the early morning English soccer games with me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family, similar to many others. I never doubted the there is a God and that Jesus Christ is my Savior, but throughout my childhood, I wasn't completely sure which church was true. My best friend growing up was of a different faith and I found myself thinking "what if he's right?". Thanks to the faithful example of my parents, I continued to go to church and when I was 17, I decided I should know for myself whether or not I was being raised in the correct church. I had been reading the Book of Mormon from beginning to end for the last few months and had not had any kind of revelation as to whether or not it was true. But I did finally receive an answer and I remember what I was doing and how I felt as if it happened yesterday. I was reading the Book of Mormon as I was sitting on my bed with my back against the wall. In the middle of the chapter, a strong peaceful feeling came across me and as if a voice whispered to me, I felt myself thinking "this is true". The joy I felt and the peace the came across me left me still and contemplating on my bed. At that very moment, my mom called for me from upstairs to help with something. I remember not wanting to get up so I wouldn't lose that feeling and moment I was experiencing. From that experience, I served a mission and there my testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and the restoration of the true Gospel of Jesus Christ through Joseph Smith grew and was strengthened. I know as I knew my whole life that there is a God and that he is my Heavenly Father. I know Jesus Christ is His Son and my Savior. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and restored the same gospel and priesthood established by Christ while he was on the Earth. I know the Book of Mormon is true and that it testifies of Christ and is a witness to this Church. Because I have experienced it, I know that anyone who wants to know whether or not this church is true can find out.

How I live my faith

I currently teach primary kids each Sunday and enjoy helping them learn the basics of the Gospel. Throughout the week, I read my scriptures and strive to be an example of the beliefs of the church anywhere I go. I enjoy sharing my feelings, not only of this Church, but of God and Jesus Christ to anyone who wants to discuss it.
