Hi I'm Jody

a guitar playing, "name song" singing, retired Jr. High P.E. teacher, coach, and Substitute. I know who I am-- I'm a Mormon.

About Me

We are who & what we love: My Savior, my family, sports, music and life! Born & raised in Mesa, Arizona I taught Girls' P.E., coached, Substituted, played & taught guitar, had a kid's singing group, and raised 4 beautiful daughters. I met my husband "in court"-long story-and we've been together 31 years. We now have 3 awesome son-in-laws & 2 grandsons. I have loved watching my daughters make sports, music, service, faith & family an important part of their lives. I had my mom in our home 1 year before passing, and now care for my grandson. I write music, work (and play) with cub scouts, hang out with my family, and find joy through service.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ is my life and my strength. Anything good I have ever done has been because of my love for my Savior and His work on the earth today. His teachings through prophets, past and present, have been an anchor to my soul through every joy and trial this life can and does bring. I know He lives and is personally concerned with and cares about every detail of our lives. Clarity and purpose come as I strive to follow Him and His teachings. What more could I ask for than the way of life this wonderful church of Jesus Christ has given me and offers to all of God's children?

How I live my faith

Through the Savior's church I enjoy getting to know and serve others through the visiting teaching program as we share messages of faith and help with personal and family needs. I daily gain strength from the scriptures and words of living prophets and apostles as I read and search for guidance & direction, receiving light & truth to bless my life and the lives of others. I truly love working with the youth through the camping and sports programs of the Church & my work with the cub scouts. Serving the children by giving Sunday lessons and teaching songs of Christ. has strengthened my personal testimony of the Savior. I have enjoyed working at the schools as a volunteer in various capacities. Serving as President and on the board of the Parent Teacher Student Organization, doing activities with the kids at lunchtime, playing songs on the guitar teaching character traits & values through music, and helping with talent shows have all been rewarding to me and my family.
