Hi I'm Vicki Jo

I'm a Mormon. I research the lives of great men and women from original sources. I am a school director. I am a proud grandmother.

About Me

I have become convinced that we cannont have an appreciation of the future without an understanding of the past. I am led to research the lives of men and women from history. Gleaning from original sources I have come to love the lives of great men and women and the impact they had. They used their natural gifts and talents to bless the lives of others. I gain great strength from reading about their lives. Goethe, Elizabeth Fry, and Louis Agassiz are among some of my favorites. I love promoting America's founding principles. They are universal principles of freedom. I encourage the students at our K-12 school to learn the principles of freedom through a classical liberal arts education. What a reward it is to see our students begin to make their own contribution to the world they live in. My husband has been my greatest support in all these endeavors. Together we have eight marvelous children and a steadily increasing number of grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

All of this matters so much to me. The Chuch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches me WHY. It makes a difference not only now, but in the life to come.

How I live my faith

I serve on several boards in my community including a charter school corporate management board, a college board, board member of local ARC -community mentally disabled adult center. I am often asked to give public presentations on my research. I serve as the the young adult religious education instructor, the Scout committee chairperson and I also play the piano for the Primary children on Sunday.
