Hi I'm Stacy

I live in a small town in Arizona. My greatest accomplishment is my 6 kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am blessed to have been born into the church to goodly parents like Nephi. I married to the love of my life and together we have 6 beautiful kids, 5 girls and a boy. I am partners in a small Civil Engineering and Land Surveying company here in town, which is the town I grew up in. We begin each work week with a staff meeting that ends with prayer, which is probably the only reason that our business is still operating.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. My parents were very supportive of my attending church and being active. Before I went on my mission, however, I don't think I could have honestly said that I had felt the spirit. My dad died exactly 362 days before I entered the MTC and I nearly returned my call, when it came, unopened. It was in the MTC that I learned how to feel and recognize the spirit and I realized that the spirit had been manifest in my life constantly, especially after we lost my dad. I also realized that I had believed the gospel and in the Savior because my parents had. While I understood this to be a gift of the spirit, i realized that to effectively bear testimony to investigators and others I needed to develop one of my own. I studied and prayed and pondered and made mistakes and tried again and I eventually felt that deep, heartfelt conviction that Jesus knew who I was and was intimately involved in my life. I knew that the words of the Book of Mormon that affected my so deeply were true and that Joseph Smith was the prophet of the restoration. I knew that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was true and that it was led by the Savior through a living prophet today. These truths have been a great anchor to me in my life. I have found that no matter what I am going through in life, I always have the assurance that I matter to Him. He is watching me and is ready to help, to guide, to sustain, and most importantly, to forgive.

How I live my faith

I have served in the church in many different callings. I have been a Ward Mission Leader in Caldwell, Idaho and served as a counselor in a bishopric in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Currently I am serving as the president of the young men's group in our ward here in St. Johns. I work mostly with the 16-18 year old group of boys, but I get to associate with all the boys from 12 years old and up. My favorite moments are the 'ah ha' moments in class when they seem to grasp a concept or share their own testimony of the gospel with the rest of us. We recently attended the temple together and I felt the spirit there as I hadn't in a long time as I watched those boys participate there. We have a lot of fun, especially on camp outs.
