Hi I'm Tiffany

I sing and run for fun. I clean to de-stress. I'm a wife and mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Most of my pastimes are temporarily on pause as I figure out my new job as a mom, but I do enjoy running when I can and have run a marathon and a half marathon in the past. I am still working on getting back into a routine since the birth of our son. Another love of mine is music, and I try to sing in choirs when I can but do not consider myself a soloist. I received my BA studying Linguistics and speak Spanish and actually lived in Argentina for about a year and a half. Argentine pastries are fabulous, the BBQ meat is addictive, and the pastas are delicious!

Why I am a Mormon

First, let's talk about the name. "Mormon" is a sort of nickname for a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because, along with the Bible, we also believe The Book of Mormon to be the word of God. I have studied both books to learn about our Savior Jesus Christ and the Gospel and know that the Church He organized while He was on the Earth has been restored in its fullness today through the prophet Joseph Smith. That is why I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. God lives. Christ is His son. Prophets teach us His Gospel, and if we follow it I know we will have peace in our lives and eventually live with God again with our families. That is what I want, so that is why I choose to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I pray earnestly for charity because I know that to love others as Jesus did is the best way I can show my love to God. That means I need to act on what I pray for, so I try to serve those around me. Outside of serving with others at church, I enjoy working with the women, both old and young in my area, to help others when a new baby enters a home or when a loved one is called home to our Father in Heaven through death. Most of the time I have the opportunity to show God my love by how I treat my own family, since I am around them the most. I try to apply the doctrines of Christ in our home so that my husband and son know that I love them and that I trust in God. It's the little things really, the everyday decisions I make that either draw me closer to God or further from Him. It's up to me to make those decisions in harmony with His teachings as best I can to live my faith.
