Hi I'm Siboney

I'm from a small town. No one can say my name. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 4 beautiful children. They are my life. We ride bikes, play together, sing, and just love being with each other. My husband works very hard so that I can be home with them and also so that I can take classes at night toward my nursing degree. I used to be a massage therapist and will do a little work here and there but it's not something that I truly enjoy so that's why I'm going back to school. I love to learn how the human body works and how amazingly it is designed. I love sewing and crafting and doing fun projects with my kids, and lately I've been really into organizing, it's weird though, because you can ask my mom, I was never an organized person.

Why I am a Mormon

I was adopted when I was just two weeks old, and came to live with a loving family who taught me the gospel and to be a good example. They weren't always good at it but I learned early on that if I wanted the blessings that my Father in Heaven promises to his children I needed to step up and go to church, read my scriptures, and lead a righteous life no matter what. I know that by being true to the gospel and by obeying God's commandments that Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father live and that they know me. I know that without a shadow of a doubt...I've truly been blessed. The Book of Mormon is true and this work is the hardest thing that I will ever do, but if it's not hard it's not worth it. I know Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Christ on that spring morning many years ago. I know that he was called of God to restore this gospel and that Thomas S. Monson has been called to lead the church at this time. I know I wouldn't be where I am without this gospel. This is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

In church I have have been called to work with the little children. For 11 years I've taught, played and loved these beautiful spirits. They are so special and I have learned so much from them. Especially patience! Serving in the church spills into how I do things at home with my own children. My kids see me working on something for church and want to help and learn the stories of the gospel. We talk of helping others and then practice helping in our community and at church. Each adult female member has a responsibility to watch for and care for the other woman in the church. I am assigned a partner and we together are assigned 2 or 3 women to visit. It's called visiting teaching. I love it and love the sisters that visit me...it's an inspired program. I believe by teaching my children in my home to be good citizens, honest, and loving that that is the greatest gift that I can give to those around my neighborhood and community.
